This is not a tribute to bacon

The first image is a photo I took on a trip to Granada, Spain, in 2023.

The second is a piece from the National Palace Museum in Taiwan that I had the chance to see in 2022. Although the rumor is that it’s a tribute to bacon, that’s not actually true—it’s a semi-precious stone, one of the three treasures of the National Palace Museum of Taiwan. A piece of jasper with different bands that looks like a delicious slice of pork belly.
