A feminist glossary conceptualized as a time capsule—acting not as a dictionary of what exists, but as a speculative tool to design and imagine alternative futures rooted in transfeminist principles. The European Municipalist Network required a publication capable of merging ancestral knowledge with emerging local struggles. [1]
I led the comprehensive art direction, custom illustration systems, and total editorial design. The objective was to build a disruptive identity capable of bridging rigorous political theory with radical creative imagination.
Strategy & Speculative Design
To treat the glossary as an authentic artifact from a plausible future, I engineered a visual system heavily influenced by speculative sci-fi aesthetics, archival structures, and controlled glitches.
Editorial Architecture: The layout was mapped to challenge traditional linear reading. I layered continuous custom vector patterns, high-contrast typography pairings, and structured text fragments to visually materialize the "amphibious" terminology defined by the Feminisation of Politics collective.
The Outcome
The zine went beyond print: its structure and visual identity became the conceptual and pedagogical base for the international MOOC on the Feminisation of Politics, rolled out across six European cities to shift the internal organising practices of civic collectives. The glossary was later cited by the Guerrilla Foundation in one of its annual reports as a theoretical and methodological tool for activism.
Following its success, the visual framework was integrated by transnational philanthropic networks, notably featured by the Guerrilla Foundation in their annual reports as a benchmark theoretical spellbook and operational toolkit for translocal movements across Europe.
