Art Under Pressure

Asociación Cultural Fetén: EN / Save the date! On January 27th, everyone is invited to come together for a day of art, culture, and solidarity.

We will be bringing the incredible work of @refocusmedialabs to Valencia, showcasing the essence of their work with refugees in Greece. This organization, which started its mission in Lesbos in 2017 and now has branches in Athens and Krakow, provides training in photography, audio and video production, graphic design, computer skills, and editing to asylum seekers and refugees.

The goal is to empower these individuals to tell their own stories, acquire new skills, and aspire to pursue a professional career in the arts. After showcasing their work at a festival in Athens last year, the art from ReFOCUS labs will now be exhibited at @csoa_lhorta in Benimaclet, with free entry.

We will enjoy a photography exhibition featuring works created by ReFOCUS students, as well as a screening of the documentary "Nothing About Us Without Us," which depicts the harsh reality of the refugee camps in Lesbos and invites us to reflect on how the media perpetuates prejudices towards this community.
From 6:00 PM onwards, we will transform the space into a party, with the collaboration of @voltikamusic providing music until 10:00 PM.
In addition, we will prepare a vegan paella beforehand so that nothing is missing. All proceeds will go to ReFOCUS, allowing them to continue their empowering work through their artistic labs. We count on your support!
